Rising Storm

The wind blows strong,
a foul scent in the air.
Death and fear fly
     through the sky
and I dread what isn't
     there.

The rustling trees I
     begin to fear,
Pain and suffering I know
     are near.
Terror forces to run
     and hide,
and from my eye streams
     a single tear.

But from the shadows
a beauty does come,
who is so tender and dear.
By still my heart can't help
    but wonder
why she ever came here.

She pulls me close  to her
and whispers, "Do not fear,"
She kisses my cheek gently
"For now, my love, I am here."

I hold he tightly as she says
that evil shan't come near,
but still the rising storm
I have come to fear.
Not really my best poem, but I'v still had some people tell me that its nice.
